About MentorHer Ghana
MentorHer Ghana is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing mentorship, guidance, and support to women and girls in Ghana. Our mission is to guide Ghana’s daughters with support, resources, and creative thinking tactics while cultivating personal & professional skills to advance themselves, their community, and the African Diaspora. Our goal is to prepare young Ghanaian girls to take part in the evolution of their country and rapidly growing economy and to become global citizens. We aim to guide them with skills, resources, and creative thinking tactics that will prepare them for the abundance of opportunities that the country has to offer. In all cases, we believe that people who are native to the land should be able to control their own narratives while being an active part of its progress. Our vision is to create a world where every woman and girl has access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive. We believe that by empowering women and girls, we can uplift entire communities and drive positive change across the nation.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking individuals who are passionate, dedicated and committed to advancing our mission. Our ideal board members will have expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Non-Profit Governance: Experience in non-profit management and governance.
Fundraising and Development: Skills in securing funding and resources to support our programs.
Advocacy and Public Relations: A background in advocacy and public relations to help amplify our message and impact.
Financial Expertise: Financial acumen to oversee our budget and financial sustainability.
Legal and Compliance: Knowledge of legal and compliance issues relevant to non-profit organizations.
Your Role as a Board Member
As a board member, you will play a crucial role in shaping the direction and success of MentorHer Ghana. Your responsibilities may include:
Providing Strategic Guidance: Offering your expertise to help us achieve our long-term goals.
Fundraising and Resource Development: Assisting in securing the resources needed to expand our programs.
Governance and Oversight: Ensuring the organization operates in accordance with our mission and values.
Advocacy and Networking: Promoting our cause and connecting us with potential partners and supporters.
