The MentorHer Ghana 2021 Youth Entrepreneurship Program aims to develop, train, and provide resources for young girls in rural Kwahu, Ghana. We are adopting the Biz Kid Project to provide virtual and in-class learning, training, and mentorship. We will instill theoretical and practical business skills, how to add value to service and products, and how to develop marketing and sales strategies. During the 4-week program, students will learn to: decide on a business idea, design a logo and website, complete the tasks related to starting a business and result in a final pitch competition in December of 2021. The winner of the competition will be granted seed funding, resources, and 1-year business mentorship to support the launch of their winning start-up. This is the inaugural year of the program and the first youth initiative of its kind to be introduced to the region.
